Role description - The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and guiding secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support business and technology goals. The role defines cloud architecture standards, works closely with engineering and DevOps teams, and ensures solutions are reliable, compliant, and fit for purpose across the organisation.
Required skills:
* Has strong experience designing and delivering cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Understands cloud-native services, networking, security, and resilience patterns.
* Designs scalable, secure, and highly available solutions aligned to business needs.
* Uses Infrastructure as Code to build and manage cloud environments.
* Works effectively with Agile and DevOps teams to support CI/CD delivery.
* Communicates technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have skills:
* Has experience with multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, or migration programmes.
* Has exposure to containers, Kubernetes, or serverless technologies.
* Understands cloud cost optimisation and governance practices.
* Holds relevant cloud certifications or enterprise delivery experience.
