We have an urgent requirement for a Desktop Support Engineer with excellent customer service skills to provide 2nd line Technical Support across multiple sites within East Sussex.
you will be responsible for:
o Investigating IT issues (incidents) raised to the Help Desk by end users in the Technology Support Team, visiting them where appropriate.
o Determining the cause of software or hardware problems, arrive at a solution and implement appropriate actions to remedy, escalating any unresolved issues to the IT Specialist Engineer.
o Managing the deployment of new hardware and software to end users including taking responsibility for SMAC (Small Moves and Changes)
o Ensuring that end user devices are up to date with the latest Anti-Virus, and anti-malware software in accordance with IT policies and IG standards.
Essential Experience includes:
o Experienced with Microsoft Office Suites 2003/07/10 installations and troubleshooting.
o Excellent working knowledge of at least one of AD, Windows, Server, Networks
o Good understanding of TCP/IP and general networking infrastructure.
o Significant experience working as a 1st or 2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer
As the role requires travel to different sites applicants will need to have a full, clean Driving Licence and their own transport
