My client who is based in Ipswich is looking for a Devops Engineer to be based in Ipswich on an initial 3 month contract with the potential to extend.

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team.
Performing a multi-skilled role you'll need to employ a logical approach and be willing to learn and adapt. Knowledge of the Elastic Stack (Elasticseach/Logtash/Kibana/Beats) stack is essential. Experience in working in a Linux environment is also vital. Programming skills especially in Java or Python is desirable.

You'll work with customers to understand their requirements and then design, develop and configure solutions using the appropriate architectural components. You'll understand the data flowing into the system and be able to manipulate and combine data using the appropriate technologies to develop applications, interactive displays and search facilities for customers to use. You'll also provide in-life support for investigation and resolution of application problems.

Essential skills and experience
*Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats)
*Experience of working in a linux environment
*Some Linux system administration skills
*Knowledge of programming
*Knowledge of agile development principles
Desirable skills and experience:
*Cloudera Big Data Distribution including Apache Spark, Apache Kafka
*Knowledge of working in a PCI (Payment Card Industry)-compliant environment
