Job description
Our client is looking for a BigID Engineer to join their team on a six month initial contract, working 2/3 days a week onsite in London. This role is Inside IR35.
The purpose of the role is to drive enterprise data governance / retention / BigID capabilities, enabling compliance, data visibility and scalable implementation across complex data ecosystems.
Your responsibilities
* Implement and configure BigID platform and modules
* Develop data ingestion pipelines for scanning and retention
* Configure connectors for databases, cloud, SaaS, and file systems
* Enable data discovery, classification, and tagging
* Onboard new data sources and integrate pipelines
* Implement retention policies and workflows
* Optimize scans and resolve performance issues
* Collaborate with SMEs for policy-driven implementation
* Maintain technical documentation and runbooks
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Hands-on experience with BigID platform
* Strong data engineering and ETL pipeline experience
* Knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Understanding of data governance and privacy
