Job description
We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and professional Compliance & Assurance Specialist to support and strengthen our compliance, governance, risk, and assurance activities across IT infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory, security, and operational standards while producing high-quality audit and compliance outputs for internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess strong infrastructure knowledge, excellent documentation skills, and practical experience supporting compliance frameworks such as NIS-CAF and ISO standards. Knowledge of network technologies is desirable; however, strong IT infrastructure experience is essential.
The Role
Your responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate compliance and assurance activities across the IT infrastructure estate.
* Develop, maintain, and improve compliance processes, controls, standards, and governance documentation.
* Prepare professional audit evidence packs and support internal and external audits.
* Conduct compliance assessments, control reviews, and assurance activities.
* Monitor compliance against regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.
* Identify compliance gaps, risks, and control weaknesses and drive remediation activities.
* Produce clear, accurate, and executive-level compliance reports and dashboards.
* Maintain policies, procedures, standards, and control documentation.
* Collaborate with technical teams to ensure infrastructure services remain compliant with required standards and frameworks.
* Support risk management activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Act as a trusted compliance advisor to technical and business stakeholders.
* NIS-CAF (Network and Information Systems Cyber Assessment Framework).
* ISO 27001 , ISO 22301 , ISO 9001.
* Information Security Governance.
* Risk Management and Control Frameworks.
* Audit and Assurance Practices.
* Security and Operational Compliance Requirements.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
Candidates should hold, or be working towards, relevant Linux and infrastructure certifications. The following certifications would be particularly beneficial:
* Active SC Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
* Proven experience in Compliance, Governance, Risk, Assurance, or Audit-related roles.
* Strong IT Infrastructure knowledge, Knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and security controls.
* Experience working within critical national infrastructure or highly regulated sectors.
* Familiarity with risk management methodologies and governance frameworks.
* Demonstrable experience producing professional audit and compliance documentation.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple compliance activities and meet deadlines.
* Experience supporting internal and external audits.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience working within regulated or security-conscious environments.
