Cyber Security Solution Architect - Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity (SC Cleared)

TEMP TO PERM - You will start on an outside IR35 contract and then after 6 months will go perm. You must only apply if you are happy to go perm after 6 months.


The Cyber Security Solution Architect will be responsible for solution design, assurance and technical governance, working across engineering, security and platform teams to embed resilience into enterprise services. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate business continuity requirements into technical solutions and recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide solution architecture and technical assurance across Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programmes.

Design and develop recovery strategies, runbooks and resilience patterns for critical systems.

Map infrastructure dependencies and define recovery architectures.

Design and validate backup, immutable storage and cyber recovery solutions.

Collaborate with application, infrastructure and security teams to develop recovery plans.

Lead BC/DR testing cycles, including failover simulations and tabletop exercises.

Ensure alignment with regulatory standards and business impact analysis requirements.

Provide technical assurance and independent review of existing DR designs.

Support incident management, risk mitigation and resilience strategy development.


Experience Required

Extensive experience in Solution Architecture and technical design assurance.

Strong experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, focusing on resilience and recovery.

Proven experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and delivery.

Strong background across Cyber Security domains including threat management and security operations.

Experience creating runbooks and continuity documentation.

Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams.

Experience working within Critical National Infrastructure, Government or regulated environments.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security technologies.
