Microsoft UC & Telecoms Consultant (SC)

Our client urgently requires an SC cleared Microsoft UC & Telecoms Consultant to support a UK wide Telephony replacement programme.

RATE: £550 - £600 (IR35 TBD)
LOCATION: HYBRID - ON-SITE WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE PROJECT NEEDS. THIS COVERS MANY SITES THROUGHOUT THE UK.

The role is required to support the delivery of an analogue telephony / emergency phone replacement activity, including site readiness, survey validation, implementation planning and coordination across multiple sites.
The work will involve reviewing and interpreting site survey outputs, engaging with site contacts and third-party delivery teams, validating existing analogue voice infrastructure, and translating survey information into a practical implementation plan. The resource will help determine the equipment, cabling, access, SIP connectivity and local site dependencies required to progress each site to a "ready to order / ready to implement" position.

The role will support the mobilisation and delivery of a time-critical programme, where several manufacturing sites may be dependent on emergency phone availability for safe operation. Activities will include coordinating with customer stakeholders, delivery resources, the Segmentation Group, SIP providers, AudioCodes and other relevant parties to ensure dependencies are understood, risks are tracked, and blockers are escalated promptly.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing site survey information and confirming technical requirements for each site.
- Liaising with named site contacts to validate local infrastructure, access requirements and readiness.
- Supporting the definition of site-level implementation plans.
- Identifying equipment requirements, including AudioCodes ATA devices, associated networking equipment and connectivity dependencies.
- Supporting assumptive ordering decisions where required due to hardware lead times.
- Coordinating with delivery engineers and ensuring work is geographically and logically grouped across sites.
- Tracking risks, issues, dependencies and decisions, particularly where delays may impact critical business operations.
- Supporting engagement with penetration testing, security approvals and any exception process required to proceed.
- Helping maintain momentum across procurement, scheduling, site access, survey validation and implementation activity.

The role should ideally be filled by someone with experience of complex UC / voice transformation projects, analogue telephony environments, SIP connectivity, site-based infrastructure delivery, and stakeholder coordination across technical, commercial and operational teams. The individual will need to be proactive, delivery-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with incomplete information and evolving priorities.
