Role Overview
As an Oracle Integration Technical Consultant, you will play a key role within the Synergy Integration workstream, responsible for designing, building, and configuring high quality integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). You will ensure all solutions align with agreed architectural principles, design standards, and end to end business requirements.
Working closely with cross functional teams across ERP, HCM, Data, and Reporting, you will contribute to the delivery of stable, scalable, and well governed integrations that support seamless business processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and build OIC integrations including APIs, orchestrations, and file based interfaces, ensuring alignment with architecture and design standards.
* Produce high quality functional and technical specifications with clear traceability from business requirements to solution design.
* Develop, configure, and unit test integrations, incorporating robust error handling, logging, and performance optimisation.
* Support SIT and UAT cycles, resolving defects, managing fixes, and collaborating with technical and functional teams to ensure stable end to end processes.
* Work closely with ERP, HCM, Data, and Reporting teams to ensure seamless integration across the wider solution landscape.
* Contribute to continuous improvement, ensuring integration patterns, documentation, and standards remain consistent and well governed.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong hands on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including API based, orchestration, and file based integrations.
* Proven ability to produce clear, structured functional and technical specifications.
* Experience supporting SIT and UAT, including defect resolution and integration stabilisation.
* Solid understanding of integration best practices, including error handling, logging, and performance considerations.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams across ERP, HCM, Data, and Reporting.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud and/or Oracle HCM Cloud.
* Familiarity with broader integration technologies or middleware platforms.
* Understanding of enterprise scale integration patterns and architecture principles.
