PMO Manager
Must have an Active DV Clearance
- Provide leadership across the PMO function while driving consistent standards, processes and continuous improvement.
PMO Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the PMO function across programme delivery activities.
- Establish and maintain programme governance, controls and assurance processes.
- Manage RAID, actions, decisions, dependencies and change-control processes.
- Coordinate programme planning, schedule reviews and delivery reporting.
- Manage financial governance including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and financial reporting.
- Support procurement, commercial and contractual activities.
- Manage resource planning, forecasting and allocation across the programme.
- Produce programme reports, dashboards and management information for senior stakeholders.
- Monitor programme performance and identify emerging risks, issues and delivery concerns.
- Ensure programme documentation, governance and reporting meet required standards.
- Support programme reviews, assurance activities and decision-making forums.
- Drive improvements across PMO processes, reporting and programme controls.
- Work closely with senior customers, delivery teams and programme stakeholders.
PMO Manager Skills and Experience
- Strong PMO management or leadership experience within complex programme environments.
- Strong programme governance, assurance and reporting experience.
- Experience managing RAID, dependencies and formal change-control processes.
- Strong programme planning and delivery-control experience.
- Financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting and invoicing.
- Experience supporting procurement, commercial and contractual activities.
- Strong resource planning and forecasting experience.
- Strong analytical and management reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using SharePoint and programme reporting tools.
- SAP experience would be advantageous.
- Experience supporting complex Defence, Government or regulated programmes would be highly advantageous.
- Experience across transformation, service delivery and Agile or Waterfall environments would be beneficial.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
