Job description
Product Owner / Manager - Remote
Must have an Active SC Clearance
You will play a key role in translating strategic objectives into executable delivery plans, ensuring that work remains aligned to measurable business outcomes and benefits.
The position is ideal for a strategic Product Owner or Product Manager who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, driving delivery, and influencing senior stakeholders across large and complex organisations.
Product Owner / Manager Responsibilities
Own and govern product backlogs across complex transformation programmes.
Translate strategic objectives into prioritised delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
Manage dependencies, risks, blockers, and escalation activities.
Support Programme Boards, Change Authorities, and governance forums.
Produce executive-level reporting, delivery updates, and status packs.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discovery sessions, and requirements discussions.
Define acceptance criteria, success measures, and benefits tracking mechanisms.
Work closely with Business Analysts to maintain a continuous flow of ready work.
Support operating model transformation and organisational change initiatives.
Engage with architects, engineering teams, business leaders, and delivery stakeholders.
Product Owner / Manager Skills and Experience
Proven Product Ownership or Product Management experience within large-scale transformation programmes.
Strong backlog governance, prioritisation, refinement, and dependency management experience.
Experience decomposing epics into features and user stories.
Strong Agile delivery experience across multi-team environments.
Experience with Jira and Azure DevOps.
Experience translating strategy into delivery outcomes and benefits realisation.
Strong governance, RAID management, and stakeholder reporting capability.
Experience facilitating workshops and challenging ambiguous requirements.
Strong understanding of business process analysis and operating model design.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives.
Public Sector, Central Government, Home Office, or GDS experience desirable.
