Job description
Experience & Expertise
Proven track record leading large‑scale, complex IT or digital programmes with multi‑million‑pound budgets.
Deep, hands‑on experience delivering in SAFe enterprise environments, including managing multiple ARTs and value streams.
Strong governance, financial management, and executive‑level reporting capability.
Experience working in regulated, mission‑critical, or high‑availability environments.
Leadership & Delivery
Ability to provide strategic programme leadership across multiple suppliers and internal teams.
Skilled in running PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, and other SAFe programme ceremonies.
Strong capability in RAID management, dependency management, and cross‑ART coordination.
Experience coaching and leading senior delivery roles (Programme Managers, RTEs, Delivery Leads).
Stakeholder & Commercial Skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at senior/executive level.
Ability to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
Strong commercial acumen, including budget ownership, forecasting, and supplier management.
Certifications (Highly Desirable)
SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or Lean Portfolio Management (LPM).
SAFe Agilist or RTE certification.
Programme/Project management qualifications (MSP, PgMP, PRINCE2).
Agile/Lean certifications (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
Personal Attributes
Strategic thinker with strong execution focus.
Calm, decisive leader comfortable with complexity and ambiguity.
Credible, outcome‑driven, and able to influence at senior levels.
