Job Title: Junior Technical Architect
Location: London - Hybrid
Contract Length: 12 months

The Role
We are looking for a Junior Technical Architect to join a major Public Sector programme on a 12-month contract.
You will work alongside architects and multidisciplinary technical teams to analyse technical challenges, develop appropriate technical designs and support architectural decision-making throughout the delivery lifecycle.
The role will involve working with established technologies and architectural patterns while contributing to wider strategy, roadmaps, governance and assurance.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake structured analysis of technical issues and translate findings into appropriate technical designs and solutions.
* Contribute to design discussions and provide appropriate design patterns.
* Identify opportunities to reuse existing components and architectural patterns.
* Work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions and designs.
* Align technical designs with the work being undertaken by other architects and technical professionals.
* Track emerging issues, strategies, roadmaps, architectural patterns and technologies to identify potential opportunities and risks.
* Create and use appropriate architecture representations and documentation to communicate designs and achieve stakeholder agreement.
* Support architectural discussions within multidisciplinary teams.
* Produce technical designs with appropriately managed levels of risk, impact and complexity.
* Provide guidance and support to delivery teams using technical designs throughout the lifecycle.
* Adapt technical designs where required during delivery.
* Work with established technologies and identify appropriate architectural patterns.
* Support the development of technical strategies, visions and roadmaps aligned with organisational objectives.
* Challenge requirements and assumptions where appropriate and identify opportunities to improve the technical strategy.
* Support the implementation of agreed strategies and architectural roadmaps.
* Apply appropriate architectural principles, patterns and constraints to technical designs.
* Work collaboratively with other architects and technical teams to make architectural design decisions.
* Identify and address relevant architectural risks, including business, data and security considerations.
* Engage with architecture governance and assurance processes to support effective management of technical decisions and risks.
Key Experience
* Experience contributing to technical architecture, solution design or technical design within a complex technology environment.
* Understanding of architectural principles, patterns and technical design practices.
* Experience analysing technical requirements and translating them into technical designs or solutions.
* Ability to produce and communicate architecture or technical-design documentation.
* Understanding of architectural risk, governance and assurance.
* Experience working with architects, engineers, developers and other technical professionals.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience working within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
* Understanding of technology strategy, roadmaps and the technology delivery lifecycle.
* Ability to challenge requirements and assumptions constructively and contribute to architectural decision-making.
