Azure Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities
* Design and build cloud-native platform functionality within the Azure/Databricks data ecosystem
* Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and platform services
* Optimise data pipelines for performance, resilience, and cost efficiency
* Automate data platform operations and routine processes
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
* Ensure security, data integrity, and compliance standards are met
* Produce clear technical documentation to support knowledge transfer

Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
* Proven commercial experience delivering solutions on Azure (AWS also acceptable with strong Azure exposure)
* Strong Python development skills (data processing, automation, platform tooling)
* Hands-on experience with Databricks (or equivalent distributed data processing platforms)
* Experience building and optimising data pipelines and ETL processes
* Practical knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices
* Experience with functional and non-functional testing
Engineering Practices
* Experience working in Agile delivery teams
* Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-ready code
* Strong problem-solving skills and a delivery mindset
* Comfortable working in established enterprise platforms and standards
