Under the direction of Section Head IMS (NSM MIM 0010), incumbent will perform the following duties:
*Installation, operation and maintenance of copper (CAT5/6/7) and fiber network architecture.
*Troubleshoot layer 1 connectivity issues on data LAN, VTC and telephone network systems.
*Plan and execute network cabling requirements for local project managers.
*Maintains cable frame rooms in clean state.
*Maintain Cable records for validation and local use.
*Troubleshoot PC faults in workshop Environment- Install software locally and by remote deployment
*Contribute to Service Operations processes through ITSM toolkit.
*The incumbent may be required to perform like duties elsewhere within the organisation as directed.
*The incumbent is required to undertake operation deployments and/or TDY assignments
*The work is normally performed in a typical Office / Frame Room / CIS Installation Facility environment. Normal Working Conditions apply.

Skills and Experience
Experience and Education:
*Certified Fibre Optic Installation Technician
*Certified PC Repair Technician (minimum CompTIA A+)
*3 years' experience in a combined workstation/infrastructure maintenance role
*Word Processing: Working knowledge
*Spreadsheet: Working knowledge
*Graphics Presentation: Working knowledge
*E-mail clients/Web Browsing: Working knowledge
*MS Visio: Working knowledge
Desirable Experience and Education:
Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training leading to a formal technical or professional certification with 3 years function related experience, or a Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post related experience.
