Understand the demands of the organisation to deliver clinical care to our patients,
hence the network and collaboration functions required to satisfy the needs of the
Trust.
2. Responsible for maintaining, supporting, configuring, installation,
decommissioning and troubleshooting all telephony infrastructure connected to the
LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and hosted analogue environments.
3. Pro-active engagement with all staff in the ICT Department
4. Optimise and harden the telephony across the Trust focusing on continual
improvement.
5. Managing a hosted Contact Center system for the Trust
i. supporting inbound queries regarding hosted services for relevant
teams and departments.
ii. integration with Customer Relationship Management tools.
iii. providing analytics for optimisation.
iv. customising Wallboards based on user requirements.
6. Supporting the core VoIP system
i. Administration of a call management system including setting up
phones, extensions, voicemail
ii. Managing of IVRs and Hunt Groups.
iii. Troubleshooting any issues with endpoint devices or incidents relating
to telephony.
iv. Supporting the installation and configuration of Soft Phones.
v. Auditing the current telephony platform to support migration to a new
telephony platform.
vi. Proactive monitoring of the phones.
vii. Testing cables to ensure end to end connectivity.
viii. Have experience using session border controllers.
7. Supporting the core analogue telephony system
i. Supporting the ISDX and associated Voice Gateway Routers
ii. Supporting the analogue phones
iii. Jumping twisted paired cables to provision analogue lines
iv. Trace and audit the analogue telephony in preparation for a migration
to a new environment.
8. First-hand technical expert acting as point of reference/subject matter expert for
areas of the Trust's network, telephony, and collaboration infrastructure.
9. Understand and articulate incidents to different audiences within the Trust,
including technical, operations management, senior management and executives
including providing advice and guidance
10. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant, technical, scientific, computing,
clinical systems used in ICT and throughout GOSH
11. Analyse information from variable sources; leverage various toolsets to gain
awareness of potential issues
12. Able to interrogate and reconfigure network equipment including switches, wireless
access points and other network components to a complex level
13. Be a technical point of reference/subject matter expert for specific areas of the
Trust's network and security infrastructure. Work with suppliers and contractors for
the installation and maintenance of new and existing solutions.
14. Respond to cyber security incidents by collecting, analysing, and preserving digital
evidence
15. Document issues, processes, procedures, technologies, etc.16. Maintain network plans and diagrams for the purposes of planning, development,
capacity, and performance management
17. Support other senior network engineers in the development and documentation of
network standard operating and support procedures
18. Identify and help troubleshoot anomalies
19. Provide a point of escalation for telephony incidents
20. Collaborate with technical teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate issues
21. Ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
22. Any other relevant duties and tasks commensurate with the working of an ICT
