D365 Solutions Architect

Our client is looking for a D365 Solutions Architect to join their team on a 6 months intial contract, working 2-3 days onsite in Warwick. This role is Inside IR35.

Role Name: MS Dynamics Solution Architect
Demonstrable knowledge of the UK electricity Customer Connections lifecycle and BP500 processes, with the ability to translate connection journeys, business rules, milestones, approvals, customer interactions and cross-functional hand-offs into scalable Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solution designs.

Client Advisory & Opportunity Leadership: Lead senior client-facing advisory conversations across discovery, solution shaping and opportunity development. The role is expected to translate energy and utilities business challenges into clear Dynamics 365 solution options, delivery approaches, estimates, risks and implementation roadmaps, while acting as a trusted advisor who can challenge unclear requirements and guide clients towards scalable, maintainable and value-led Microsoft solutions.

Solution Architecture & Design: Own the end-to-end Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solution architecture across process, data, security, integration, user experience and non-functional design. The role will translate business requirements into practical Microsoft platform designs, define solution boundaries across configuration, customisation, Power Platform and external integrations, and ensure the architecture is aligned to enterprise standards, Microsoft best practices, governance and long-term supportability.

Energy & Utilities Domain Leadership: Bring strong utilities domain understanding to shape CRM-enabled solutions for processes such as customer connections, network operations, asset management, work management, field operations, regulatory reporting and customer service. The role should understand UK energy regulation, Ofgem-driven obligations, DNO / TNO processes, auditability and service-level expectations, and design solutions that integrate effectively with GIS, ERP, asset, document, workflow and reporting platforms.

Delivery Leadership: Lead solution design and delivery assurance from discovery through build, testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare and transition to support. The role will provide functional and architectural direction to delivery teams, review key design and test deliverables, maintain requirements traceability, support backlog and defect governance, manage scope and change impact, and drive quality across configuration, data, integration, security, reporting and user experience.
