Our Government client is looking for multiple Principal Test Engineers. This will require "Head of QA" level of experience. The role will be INSIDE IR35, with hybrid travel to London. SC is required, but can be sponsored (you must be eligible)
Essential Skills
You'll have a demonstrable passion for Test Engineering, with the following skills or proven experience in:
* Working at senior leadership level, establishing, and maintaining organizational level networks and actively engaging other senior leaders
* Leading a technical service or team of test engineers
* Developing organizational level test approaches for Quality Engineering, CI/CD & release management within complex agile environments.
* A solid understanding and demonstrable experience of cloud services, microservice architecture, performance quality engineering, observability, Infrastructure as Code and SRE principles.
* setting strategic direction at organizational level for the design of test automation frameworks, spinning up test infrastructure, optimized test environment usage, and utilizing virtualization and containerization.
* designing, building, deploying, and improving test engineering capabilities which support the implementation of QAT strategies.
* selecting and deploying a broad range of tools and engineering techniques including latest open-source technologies. In depth experience of scaling quality engineering, professional knowledge of object-orientated design patterns and modern programming languages like Java, TS/JS and Python.

* Strategy and Architecture
* Strategic Planning (ITSP) - Level 5
* Test Analysis, Design and Execution - Level 4
* Automation and Tooling - Level 5
* Performance Testing - Level 4
* Integration and Assurance - Level 4
* Domain Experience - Level 4
Desirable Skills
* Experience of working with AI. Especially AI for QAT activities.
* Experience of working in Data Science and Data Analytics.
