We are looking for an experienced Programme Director who will have overall leadership and ultimate accountability for the successful delivery of the programme as Programme Lead. They will own the overall programme direction and vision in conjunction with the business unit and customer. They will be accountable for the effective management of the programme and functional activities within it, the risks, issues, conflicts, priorities, decisions, stakeholder engagement and communications, ensuring delivery of the new capabilities and benefits. They will be responsible for maintaining the linkages between the programme and the organization's strategic direction, ensuring the contracted customer's strategy and business targets are met by the programme deliverables and outcomes.

The Programme Director will be the main driving force throughout the programme, managing the stakeholders and the programme to mutual benefit by ensuring that the outcome and benefits are met by providing a decision-making capacity that cannot be achieved at project level.

Consistently delivered success by effectively managing programme baselines and driving excellence in all aspects of the business.
Ensured clear Programme scope and alignment by developing and maintaining comprehensive programme lifecycle documentation, including a complete requirement catalogue and traceability matrix.
Facilitated smooth Programme transitions, change delivery and high customer satisfaction by partnering with customers and business units to deliver programmes from initiation to closure, ensuring seamless acceptance and handover to service.
Leadership and guidance to the programme team/s as well as setting strategic direction and vision.
Providing clarity to your team and wider stakeholders of the benefits to be achieved and how to maximise benefit realisation through the successful embedding of outcomes.
Successfully manage the delivery of the project/multiple projects concurrently, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery, acceptance, and handover to service.
Maintained consistent and compliant programme execution by adhering to established programme management policies, procedures, and methodologies, and implementing formal review processes.
Enabled data-driven decision-making by developing and presenting Programme Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the Programme Board and SRO via effective escalation reports and stage assessments.
Promoted financial responsibility and transparency by providing clear visibility into the impact of Programme activities on business line Profit & Loss and securing necessary governance approvals for contingency usage.
As well as proven programme delivery, experience within the process of defining programme requirements and objectives with the Programme Board or appointed programme assurance role is required.
Experienced in stakeholder relationship management, working closely with customers, service lines and 3rd parties to ensure successful delivery.
Strategic management of stakeholders and sub-contractors to fully align the deliverables including the Business Change workstream and ensure a coherent and consistent approach to delivering the Authority's requirements.
Maintained a risk-controlled approach across delivery of all the workstreams whilst ensuring a focus is kept on delivery of requirements and business outcomes.
Ensure a key partnership is developed and maintained with all key stakeholders, the Authority, Third Parties, the Authority's business change leads to deliver optimum outputs.
Managed the business and Programme risks and produce an effective plan and risk assessment so that timescales and Programme costs can be understood and controlled throughout the lifecycle of the programme
Experienced in finance and management of budgets, managing profitability, revenue, margins, rates and utilization across Programmes.
Skilled in team management, setting direction, gathering status reports of team members across their Programmes and addresses issues as appropriate.
Supports personal and professional development within programme team/s and wider community.
