Our client is looking for a Server Engineer to join their team on a six month initial contract, working three days a week onsite in Crewe and two days working remotely. This role would be working via umbrella.
Role Description:
* Use of Hyper-V with client's standard build processes
* Good experience and understanding of Windows Clustering
* Good experience in configuring Network Load Balancers
* Knowledge if CIS hardening implemented using GPO
* Knowledge Active Directory and Certificate Authority
* Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless operations
* Automate server provisioning and configuration using tools like PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
* Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions including BMR
* Monitor server performance and availability using tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or equivalent client tool
* Maintain documentation for systems architecture, processes, and procedures
* Storage Knowledge advantageous
* Status reporting to senior stakeholders
