The Role
The Microsoft 365 Technical SME is responsible for providing deep technical expertise, and operational support across the Microsoft 365 platform. This role partners with architecture, security, operations, and business teams to ensure successful implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of M365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, and the wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Must - Have


Must-Have * Deep expertise across Microsoft 365 workloads including:
Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID, M365 Security & Compliance (Purview + Defender).
* PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
* SMTP troubleshooting with various encryption and spam filter appliances.
* Performing troubleshooting on Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Online Protection (EOP) as well as Configuring Send/Receive Connectors.
* Configuring Spam filtering, Virus filtering and Email Policy Rules for Inbound/Outbound mail flow using Exchange Online Protection.
* Understanding of networking fundamentals related to M365 (DNS, proxies, firewalls, ports, bandwidth).
* Experience in SharePoint Admin and Power BI admin related activities.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Graph, APIs, or Power Platform is desirable.
* Act as 3rd-line/SME-level escalation for complex M365 issues affecting services or users.
* Support configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and tuning of M365 services.
* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Provide guidance on best practices, new features, roadmap items, and service improvements.
* Experience in handling critical incidents and escalations.
* Strong knowledge on ITIL Processes specially on Problem and Change Management
