2nd Line Wintel Engineer - SC Cleared
Our client is looking for a 2nd line Wintel Engineer. You will ideally be based in the midlands in order to support and respond to server sites local to the area.
Experience required:
- Installation and configuration of physical servers, storage and other core infrastructure (ideally HP Proliant)
- Windows server build and support (including Active Directory, Group Policy)
- Ability and willingness to install new equipment in the server rooms when needed (occasional)
- Third line or other technical support experience in a live, customer facing, environment
- Ability to write and review documentation to an expected technical standard
- Ability to evolve operational procedures and processes as platform services and user base expands
You will have technical experience at 2nd and 3rd line level covering the following tech: Windows server, Active Directory, MCafee AV, SCCM, tape backup.
The role is home based with a requirement to go to server sites in and around Birmingham when an issue arises. The contract will run to September initially and is inside IR35.
