Our client is looking for a Product and Platform Specialist to join their team on a six month initial contract, working three days a week onsite in London. This role is Inside IR35.
The Product and Platform Specialist - Principal will own the end-to-end product and platform strategy for an observability and telemetry ecosystem, covering OTEL collectors, OTEL/OPAM agents, Kafka-based data pipelines, and time-series data platforms.
The role is hands-on at the blueprint, POC, and platform design level, with strong accountability for tool selection, platform roadmap, and value realization.
Core Experience
* 12+ years in platform, product, or observability engineering roles, with principal-level responsibility.
* Strong experience with OpenTelemetry (OTEL) ecosystems.
* Deep understanding of Kafka-based data pipelines.
* Proven experience with time-series databases (e.g., Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, OpenSearch, InfluxDB, etc.).
