Data Fabric Migration Engineer
Our client is looking for a Fabric Migration Engineer. You will have strong experience designing and delivering Azure based data platform solutions, particularly around migrating synapse to fabric SWP warehouse to fabric Power BI.
Skills required:
Microsoft fabric
Power App
Azure Synapse
Power BI
Azure SQL/ SQL server
Strong SQL knowledge
Azure ADF and Data bricks,
File formats partitioning for e.g. Parquet, JSON, XML, CSV, Delta lake
Azure Devops/git hub
Responsibilities:
Migrate synapse to fabric
Wring python/pyspark and spark SQL code for validation/curation in notebook
Create data integration test cases
Implement or amend worker pipelines
Implement Data validation /curation rules
Convert data model data mapping the technical data mapping
Implement Integrations
Data migration implementation and execution
Data analysis (profiling etc)
The position is based remotely with occasional travel to Sheffield when requested. The contract is inside IR35.
